Lynn Pan's Permeation Series Explores Boundaries Through Digital Photography
Since 2019, Lynn Pan, an artist originally from China and now based in London, has been working on her Permeation series, which delves into the concept of boundaries through a combination of photography and digital art. This series consists of three pieces: Shell, Shadow, and Drift. Pan holds a degree from Communication University of China and a Master’s in Art and Media Practice from the University of Westminster. In Shell, a cracked eggshell symbolizes a boundary; Shadow depicts a chalk grid engulfed in darkness; and Drift illustrates the silhouette of a cow fading into a stream. Engaging with feminist ideas, the series references Simone de Beauvoir. In 2026, Pan's work will be showcased at Palazzo Pisani-Revedin in Venice, following its presentation in March 2026 at Moon Gallery in Tokyo as part of "Water Resonates."
