Lynn Breedlove's Trust Me Band Releases Debut Album 'Why I Like Dead Guys' Recorded in Family Murder House

publication · 2026-04-19

Lynn Breedlove, the former lead of Tribe 8, has launched a new musical project named Trust Me, collaborating with Travis Andrews and Andy Meyerson from The Living Earth Show. Their inaugural album, 'Why I Like Dead Guys,' was recorded in the Grass Valley residence where Breedlove's father and stepmother were tragically killed in 2020. The album explores narratives about men in Breedlove's life, touching on subjects such as the AIDS epidemic, grief, and the concept of chosen family. The title track originated from a discussion about posthumous forgiveness. The band's name is inspired by a tattoo Breedlove received in 1997. One song, 'Cornfed Boy Finds Bag,' contemplates the AIDS crisis's effects on Breedlove's actions. Escarlina interviewed them for Kaltblut Magazine.
