Luxottica for Art Projects Domenico Gnoli's Works Across Milan Streets
Luxottica for Art, in collaboration with Fondazione Prada, is projecting works by Domenico Gnoli onto digital screens in Milan's historic center. The initiative, launched in 2020 to promote culture during the pandemic, now features Gnoli's paintings from his retrospective at Fondazione Prada, running until February 27, 2022. The Roman artist, who died in 1970 at age 37, is known for focusing on details of human bodies or objects, eliminating context. The project has expanded to Times Square in New York through the Midnight Moment program, projecting works by contemporary artists 364 nights a year, and to central London, aiming to transform cities into open-air museums.
