architecture-design · 2026-04-24

LUO studio has completed the Shell Book Pavilion, a 43 m² community book pavilion in Xiangyun Town, China, set to open in 2026. The project, led by Luo Yujie, Hong Lun, and Cao Yutao, was commissioned by COFCO Xiangyun Town. The pavilion responds to the site's existing public plaza, which features art installations and child-friendly spaces. Photographs by Yumeng Zhu document the structure, categorized as a pavilion and retail space. The design aims to address the need for meaningful public space in a familiar community context.
