Lunetta 11 Summer Exhibition in the Langhe

Lunetta 11, a cultural platform in the ancient hamlet of Mombarcaro, presents its annual summer exhibition from June 23 to September 15, 2019. The exhibition features twelve artists on the property, plus two works at the Cappella di San Rocco and in the village streets. Curated by Eva Menzio, Francesco Pistoi, and Claudia Zunino, the show aims to present art outside conventional gallery spaces, using renovated houses, a forest, a church, and village streets as venues. Highlight artist Giulio Paolini exhibits recent works Musa and Cigno in the former barn. Mizokami Kazumasa's colorful terracottas are displayed at the office, in dialogue with 16th-century frescoes. The garden and forest host sculptures by Salvatore Astore, Roberto Barni, Valerio Berruti, Jessica Carroll, and Luigi Mainolfi. Five emerging artists—BR1, Alessandro Gioiello, Francesco Maluta, Caterina Silva, and Mattia Sinigaglia—show in the residency. The hamlet, dating to the 17th century, was purchased in 2014 by an art- and music-oriented family and restored to create a retreat for art and culture.
