LUMA Arles 2026: Zaha Hadid, Gerhard Richter, and Patti Smith Lead Exhibition Season

On May 1, 2026, and July 4, 2026, LUMA Arles will unveil new exhibitions. The program was introduced in Paris by CEO Mustapha Bouhayati and artistic director Vassilis Oikonomopoulos, emphasizing themes such as technological change, climate challenges, identity, memory, and a shared future. Gerhard Richter's "Overpainted Photographs" will be displayed until January 10, 2027. An exhibition by Zaha Hadid titled "I Think There Should Be No End to Experimentation" will continue until spring 2027, commemorating ten years since her passing on March 31, 2016. Additionally, LUMA Arles celebrates Cahiers d'Art magazine with "100 Years of Cahiers d'Art and LUMA Arles" (running until spring 2027). From July 4 to November 8, "Correspondances Soundwalk Collective & Patti Smith" will feature an immersive installation.
