Luisella Traversi Guerra's Nature Homage at Museo della Permanente

Luisella Traversi Guerra (born 1944 in Piacenza), a painter and writer, presents over 40 works from her mature creative phase at the Museo della Permanente in Milan from April 2 to 24, 2022. The exhibition, titled 'L’ideale della maestria' (a homage to Jun’ichiro Tanizaki), features abstract and majestic pieces that honor nature through elaborate techniques. Traversi Guerra draws on Impressionists, Van Gogh, Georgia O’Keeffe, and the Lombard naturalist tradition. The show is organized by the Società per le Belle Arti ed Esposizione Permanente and Skira editore, curated and set up by COIMA Image. The artist's 'Materici' cycle, with iconographic and devotional character, expresses a sense of unity and prayer, reflecting her view of painting as a vocation rather than just a profession.
