Luis Carbonell Designs Cafetería Nube 7 at MUAC in Mexico City
Cafetería Nube 7, a 305-square-meter eatery, has been designed by architect Luis Carbonell and is situated within the Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) in Mexico City. The project, curated by Valentina Díaz, is set to open in 2025. Although the cafeteria has been part of the museum, designed by the acclaimed architect Teodoro González de León, since 2008, this new design marks a significant update. The project team features Jessica Young as the project leader, with construction handled by Operadora XGS. Various contributors include Taller Nacional for furniture, Taller Dos44 for carpentry, and Cocimex for kitchen design. Chef Micaela Miguel leads the culinary program, with suppliers such as Boteo and Planta DB. Photography is credited to Camila Cossio.
