Luigia Sergio launches 'Stati di Agitazione Creativa' art project in Sicilian wine estate

artist · 2026-04-26

Luigia Sergio, a young entrepreneur who returned to her hometown of Pachino, Sicily, after a decade working as a producer for Utopia M&C Saatchi in Milan, has launched the art project 'Stati di Agitazione Creativa' at the Barone Sergio wine estate in the Val di Noto. The initiative aims to transform the walls of the ancient farmhouse into murals, starting with works by artists Andrea Parisio, Ligama, and Duo Amazonas. The first mural was painted in summer 2023, accompanied by a street photography exhibition by photographer Buccio. The project, conceived with artistic director Giovanni Cardillo of Zancle Art Project, seeks to express the values of the territory and the winery, with murals also used for new wine labels. Sergio emphasizes that unlike corporate art collections, this residency focuses on artists who can convey local values and experimentation. The project plans to expand to the municipalities of Porto Palo, Noto, and Rosolini, aiming to network local associations and secure funding for annual cultural activities.
