Luigi Ghirri Foundation Launches with New Website and Logo
Adele and Ilaria Ghirri, daughters and heirs of the internationally renowned photographer Luigi Ghirri, announced the establishment of the Fondazione Luigi Ghirri via an Instagram post, where the page formerly named 'Luigi Ghirri' has been renamed. The foundation aims to continue disseminating Ghirri's work and thought, promoting photographic culture in Italy and globally, and fostering dialogue with other disciplines, artistic languages, and new generations. A new website has been created for the foundation. The logo, designed by London-based System Studio, depicts the house in Roncocesi, in the countryside of Reggio Emilia, where Ghirri and his wife Paola moved in 1990. The house-studio in Roncocesi will continue to welcome scholars, artists, curators, and enthusiasts by appointment to preserve the memory of the photographer and his vast image archive. The foundation's post concludes with the line: 'Winter is coming to an end and a new season is about to begin.'
