Ludus Exhibition at Rocca Aldobrandesca in Piancastagnaio
From December 6, 2024, until April 30, 2025, the Rocca Aldobrandesca in Piancastagnaio will showcase the exhibition titled "Ludus – la maschera e la vertigine." This event, curated by Alessandro Bellucci, represents the inaugural edition of the Amiata Arte, culture contemporanee festival, which was launched by Pierluigi Piccini, the former mayor of Siena. Featuring more than forty pieces created by seventeen international artists, the exhibition is an evolution of the earlier display "Del ludico dunque gioco." Built in 1465 by the Republic of Siena, the fortress stands as a symbol of the town. The festival aims to engage local art communities and students through school visits while promoting an anti-war message via contemporary art.
