Lucy Lippard in Conversation at Whitechapel Gallery
On Thursday 11 April 2013, Lucy Lippard will discuss her seminal 'numbers shows' (1969–74) and 'Weather Report: Art and Climate Change' (2007) with Afterall's Lucy Steeds at Whitechapel Gallery in London. The event also launches the book 'From Conceptualism to Feminism: Lucy Lippard's Numbers Shows 1969–74', featuring archival material, over 130 images, a new essay by Cornelia Butler, interviews with Lippard, Seth Siegelaub, and exhibiting artists, plus critical responses by Peter Plagens and Griselda Pollock. The talk is part of the Exhibition Histories series co-organised with Whitechapel Gallery. Tickets are £8 (£6 concessions). The series is distributed by Koenig Books, London.
