Lucio Corsi: The Outsider Artist at Sanremo 2025

Lucio Corsi, a 30-year-old singer-songwriter from Grosseto, Italy, emerged as the most distinctive act at the 75th Sanremo Festival in 2025. His song 'Volevo essere un duro' rejects competitive pressures and celebrates fragility, performed with guitar, piano, and voice. Corsi, signed to Sugar label since 2020, has three albums and a new one, 'Volevo essere un duro', due in March 2025. He previously opened for The Who in Florence (2023) and won 'Best Independent Artist' at the Meeting of Independent Labels. His style blends DIY fashion with past Gucci collaborations as a muse for Alessandro Michele (2017 Gucci Cruise). For Sanremo, he styled himself without a stylist. His cover night will perform 'Nel blu dipinto di blu' with Topo Gigio. Corsi's influences include Ivan Graziani, Paolo Conte, Genesis, Bob Dylan, and Emily Dickinson. His mother, Nicoletta Rabiti, paints his album covers. He collaborates with director Tommaso Ottomano and photographer Francis Delacroix.
