Luciano D’Alessandro retrospective at Museo di Roma in Trastevere
The Museo di Roma in Trastevere hosts 'Luciano D’Alessandro. L’ultimo idealista', a retrospective spanning sixty years of the Italian photojournalist's career. The exhibition, produced by Studio Bibliografico Marini – Archivio Luciano D’Alessandro, features images from his series 'Gli Esclusi' (1965–1967) documenting the silent condition of mental patients in asylums. D’Alessandro (Naples, 1933–2016) captured slices of a past Italy, from the vibrant life of Naples to the despair after the Irpinia earthquake. A companion volume edited by Roberto Lacarbonara, published by POSTCART Edizioni, includes contributions from colleagues Lisetta Carmi and Gianni Berengo Gardin.
