Luci su Roma: A Photographic Archive of Rome's Creative Districts

The project Luci su Roma, conceived by ZERO and Scenario, launches as a photographic and narrative archive mapping Rome's creative communities and urban microcosms. Scenario, a consultancy founded by Lucia Bosso and Francesca Iovene, commissioned photographer Flavia Rossi, whose work explores memory and emotional geography. Nicola Gerundino coordinates texts for ZERO's online platform, featuring voices from design, craftsmanship, and architecture. The initiative, born during lockdown, aims to counter homogenized imagery by presenting an alternative view of the city. The first three neighborhood portraits feature IT'S architecture firm describing Casal Bertone as a 'terrain vague' with industrial heritage; Millim studio (Chiara Pellicano and Edoardo Giammarioli) portraying EUR as introspective and stimulating; and None collective (Gregorio De Luca Comandini, Mauro Pace, Saverio Villirillo) documenting Ostiense's ex-industrial area, critiquing gentrification and abandoned spaces. The project is published on Artribune and will continue with further districts.
