Luci in Miniera: Light Installations Light Up Abandoned Sardinian Mine

The fifth edition of Luci in Miniera, a light art project organized by LandWorks, transforms the abandoned Argentiera mining village near Sassari, Sardinia, into an open-air exhibition. The event features light installations, video projections, and interactive works by international artists, including Tellas, 2bleene, Daniele Paparella, Alice Mauri, Nina Boughanim, Alix Perrine, Luisa Keintzel, and Mara Niederprüm. The latter four were selected through the Nouveau Grand Tour, a European youth talent initiative by the French Embassy in Italy and Institut Français Italia. Works by students from Palmadula primary school and the Academy of Fine Arts of Sassari (Alice Mocci and Franco Canu) are also on display, created under the guidance of teachers Milco Carboni and Pierpaolo Luvoni. The project aims to revitalize the historic mining site, which ceased operations in 1963, and is part of the MAR – Miniera Argentiera cultural center's programming.
