Lucas Jimeno Dualde Renovates São Paulo Apartment as Domestic Temple

In a mid-20th-century building in Higienópolis, São Paulo, architect Lucas Jimeno Dualde has transformed a 280 m² apartment into what the project team describes as a domestic temple. The renovation employs a frugal architecture that eliminates visual and material noise to focus attention on the experience of the body, light, color, and objects. The building itself is not a modernist icon but a solid residential structure with generous floor plans, typical of those built in Higienópolis between the 1940s and 1960s. The project was curated by Susanna Moreira, with project management by Felipe Rodrigues, landscaping by Gabriela Chow, and photography by Andre Klotz. The apartment, completed in 2025, is categorized as a house renovation and is located in São Paulo, Brazil.
