Luca Trevisani Opens Platea's New Season in Lodi with Palm Leaf Sculpture

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Luca Trevisani, born in Verona in 1979, inaugurates the latest season of Platea, a curatorial initiative based in Lodi, by converting a former porter's lodge at Palazzo Galeano into an exhibition space open around the clock. His site-specific piece, 'Notes for dried and living bodies in Corso Umberto,' features a two-dimensional sculpture crafted from a palm leaf and will be displayed until June 22, 2022. From June to December 2022, Trevisani has invited four emerging artists to showcase their work. On June 8, he participated in a discussion with art critic Riccardo Venturi about 'Naturalmente la natura non esiste,' moderated by Carlo Orsini. Trevisani, who views himself as an animal, delves into themes of nature, art, fossils, and the essence of his creations in relation to time and identity.
