Luca Santese's First German Solo Show Opens at JERGON Berlin

Luca Santese's first solo exhibition in Germany, 'Mütter. The Kingdom of Forms', has opened at JERGON, an art hub in Berlin dedicated to experimental photography and contemporary visual culture. Curated by cultural critic Nicola Patruno, the show spans three spaces and reconstructs key stages of Santese's artistic research. Santese gained recognition for projects like the ironic 'Realpolitik', which for fifteen years has questioned the mimetic status of the photographic image through a continuous dialogue with archetypes and themes from classical and contemporary art history. The works on view, drawn from the series 'Sado', 'Found Photos in Detroit', 'Festa', and 'Errors', engage in a metamorphic dialogue between figurative and abstract, historical and archetypal, realist and visionary. The exhibition runs until August 3, 2023, at Wrangelstr. 76.
