Luca Cipelletti's debut product design collection XYZ at Giustini/Stagetti in Rome
Luca Cipelletti (Milan, 1973) presents his first product design collection, XYZ, at Giustini/Stagetti gallery in Rome. The collection includes tables, consoles, and coffee tables that explore architectural themes such as subtraction of matter and perspective through extreme scale changes, from small corner tables to dining tables over three meters long. The name XYZ refers to the focal point where Cartesian axes converge, enabled by an invisible internal structural node that supports large solid wood planes. Cipelletti, previously known as an architect and museographer, has worked on projects including the masterplan of the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia "Leonardo da Vinci" in Milan, the master plan for Bari's contemporary art and culture hub, and the Museo della Merda, which won the Milano Design Award at Fuorisalone 2016. The exhibition also features selected objects from the gallery's collection by mid-century design masters Gino Sarfatti and Franco Albini, creating a dialogue between pure geometric origins and rigorous modern technical research. The show marks the beginning of a broader collaboration that will continue at Salone del Mobile 2019, exploring the relationship between art, design, and architecture.
