Luca Bizzarri ousted as president of Palazzo Ducale in Genoa

Luca Bizzarri, the actor and comedian who served as president of Palazzo Ducale in Genoa for five years without salary, has been removed from his position. Mayor Marco Bucci informed him that the board of directors had been restructured and he would no longer be part of it. Bizzarri expressed gratitude to Bucci, former governor Giovanni Toti, and Ilaria Cavo, who originally supported his appointment. He noted that despite achieving excellent results during a difficult period, he was given a vague explanation about the precariousness of life. His successor is Beppe Costa, 66, former CEO of Costa Edutainment, which operates the Aquarium and the Museo del Mare, and also a port manager. Bizzarri highlighted achievements including a new theater hall and a project to open the Torre Grimaldina to the public. He thanked director Serena Bertolucci for her passion and guidance.
