festival-fair · 2026-04-26

For sixteen years, the Italian group Lu Cafausu—comprising Emilio Fantin, Luigi Negro, Giancarlo Norese, Cesare Pietroiusti, and Luigi Presicce—has commemorated the 'Festa dei vivi (che riflettono sulla morte)' on November 2. The 16th edition will take place online from November 1 to 3, centering on themes of contemporary instability. Beginning at midnight on November 1, Cesare Pietroiusti will conduct a numerical marathon in his Rome studio, counting from 1 to 67,000 over approximately 30 hours, in memory of victims of the Gaza genocide. The program features performances, readings, films, and music, with notable events including Emilio Fantin's improvisations at 12:30 AM on November 1, Luigi Negro's discussions on November 2, Giancarlo Norese's writings, and drawing sessions by Luigi Presicce.
