Low Kee Hong appointed creative director of Manchester International Festival

Low Kee Hong has been named the Creative Director for The Factory, the new venue for the Manchester International Festival (MIF). He’ll work alongside John McGrath, the Artistic Director and Chief Executive, as well as the curatorial team to develop the programming for the site. Kee Hong will begin his new role in April after wrapping up his time as Head of Theatre and Performing Arts at Hong Kong's West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD). Previously, he held positions such as Artistic Director of the Singapore Arts Festival (2009–2012) and Founding Director of the Singapore Biennale (2005–2009). McGrath praised Kee Hong's international reputation and commitment to community, while Kee Hong expressed excitement about joining MIF’s innovative arts vision.
