Love Spot Deodato opens in Milan's Merlata Bloom mall

Love Spot Deodato, an accessible art gallery format launched in 2022 by Deodato Group, is opening a new location at the Merlata Bloom shopping center in Milan. The gallery offers artworks, posters, merchandise, and design pieces with prices up to €5,000, aiming to attract a younger and broader audience to collecting. The Deodato Group, founded in 2015 by Deodato Salafia, includes Deodato Arte (featuring Banksy, David LaChapelle, Jeff Koons, Mr.Brainwash), Wunderkammern Gallery (street art, Obey), Deodato.Tech, and Artuu.it. The new Love Spot joins existing ones in Pietrasanta, Varese, and Cagliari, following a successful pop-up at Franciacorta Village. Salafia explains that Love Spot was created to offer affordable entry-level works without devaluing high-end pieces (up to €500,000) in traditional galleries, and to help young entrepreneurs open accessible galleries. The Merlata location is larger, architecturally more appealing, and will feature more merchandise inspired by museum gift shops to attract casual visitors. With 30,000 daily visitors at Merlata, the group hopes to replicate the format in other commercial spaces.
