Love and Revolution: Avant-Garde Couples at MAN Nuoro

The MAN Museum in Nuoro, Sardinia, presents 'Amore e rivoluzione. Coppie di artisti dell’avanguardia russa', an exhibition exploring Russian sociopolitical history through art and love. Organized with the Tretyakov Gallery, Schusev State Museum of Architecture, and Bank Austria Kunstforum Wien, it features three artist couples—Natalya Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov, Varvara Stepanova and Alexander Rodchenko, Lyubov Popova and Alexander Vesnin—united in life, aesthetics, and politics. Over 100 works including paintings, sculptures, drawings, collages, photographs, and propaganda posters examine techniques and languages of the Russian avant-garde during the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution. The exhibition highlights women artists' active roles in societal change and gender equality ideals promoted by the revolution.
