Louvre partners with Airbnb for exclusive guided tours and concerts
Following the success of 'Una notte al Louvre,' the Louvre museum in Paris and Airbnb are continuing their collaboration with new initiatives aimed at attracting local Parisian audiences. Starting in September, exclusive guided tours will be offered on the museum's closing day, allowing visitors to explore the collections in a quiet, empty setting. The two-hour tours cost €30 per person and are bookable via Airbnb Experiences. Additionally, a series of private concerts began on May 17 and will run through September. Each concert is limited to 50 people, held at the Café Richelieu, and features emerging French musicians selected by singer Clara Luciani. Ticket proceeds benefit the Fondation pour la Recherche sur Alzheimer. The Louvre, which sees over 10 million annual visitors—mostly foreign tourists—has struggled to engage local audiences despite free admission on Sundays and monthly free Saturdays. These Airbnb partnerships are part of a strategy to reconnect with Parisians.
