Louisiana Museum's Memoryscapes exhibition explores architecture as temporal dialogue through two studios' approaches
The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art presents Memoryscapes, the second part of its Architecture Connecting series, highlighting architecture as a means of engaging with time. This exhibition features Atelier Tsuyoshi Tane Architects, directed by Tsuyoshi Tane, alongside DnA_Design and Architecture, established by Xu Tiantian. Tane's concept of "archaeology of the future" includes notable works such as 388Farm in Tokyo and the refurbishment of the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. Xu Tiantian advocates for architectural acupuncture to rejuvenate rural areas, stating that "a building isn't always necessary." Memoryscapes will be on display until 17 May in Copenhagen, while the first exhibition, Living Structures, is scheduled from 8 November 2024 to 23 March 2025.
