Louisiana Couture: The Legacy of San Carlin Exhibition Opens at LASM

The LSU Textile & Costume Museum (LSUTCM) and the Louisiana Art & Science Museum (LASM) have joined forces to unveil 'Louisiana Couture: The Legacy of San Carlin', an important exhibition that honors one of the state’s most prominent fashion houses. On display at LASM, this exhibition highlights the creativity, skill, and entrepreneurial drive behind San Carlin, a Baton Rouge couture brand celebrated for its sophisticated designs that gained international recognition while staying true to its Louisiana roots. Utilizing the LSUTCM's rich San Carlin archive, this collaboration aims to present this extraordinary aspect of Louisiana's cultural heritage to a wider audience. The showcase includes couture pieces and a wealth of photography by renowned Baton Rouge photographer Fred Frey.
