Louis Vuitton’s Conquest Necklace Features 21 Mozambique Rubies
Last month, Louis Vuitton unveiled the Conquest necklace in Morocco, a standout from its new Mythica high jewelry line. This stunning necklace features 21 Mozambique rubies, each with a cushion-step cut, amounting to 21.87 carats. These rubies are known for their vibrant clarity and a pinkish-red color reminiscent of the renowned Burmese variety. The design includes elegant spear-like shapes made from yellow, white, and rose 18-karat gold, accented with onyx and a cascade of diamonds. At the center, there’s a 1.07-carat diamond shaped like the LV Monogram Star. It took four years to gather the gemstones and over 1,200 hours to craft. The Mythica collection includes 110 pieces across 11 themes, featuring gems like Colombian emeralds and cat’s-eye blue topaz. Louis Vuitton entered the high jewelry market in 2009.
