Louis Vuitton Color Blossom Collection Adds Sodalite and 28 New Pieces for 130th Anniversary
Louis Vuitton has expanded its Color Blossom fine jewellery collection with 28 new pieces, marking the 130th anniversary of the Monogram created by Georges Vuitton in 1896. The new additions introduce sodalite, a deep navy-blue mineral also known as 'salt stone', to the collection's palette of precious stones including pink and white mother-of-pearl, onyx, carnelian, malachite, and amazonite. Seven pieces feature sodalite: two pendant necklaces (star and sun motifs), a long sautoir necklace, a star stud earring, an open ring with a sodalite star and diamond, and two multi-motif bracelets. The signature bombé shape is achieved through a complex lapidary process requiring up to five times more time than flat-stone polishing. New pavé creations include two white mother-of-pearl pendants with diamonds, two medallion-style necklaces (sun in mother-of-pearl, star in malachite), and two short necklaces alternating sun and star motifs in pink mother-of-pearl and malachite. Additional pieces include closed rings, earrings, a diamond-studded star ear cuff, and five new pink mother-of-pearl designs (a sautoir necklace, two bracelets, and two pendants). The collection encourages mix-and-match styling with modern silhouettes like sleek sleepers and an architectural ear cuff.
