Lotus Emira 420 Sport: Lightest and Most Powerful Variant Unveiled
Lotus has just introduced the Emira 420 Sport, which is now the most powerful and lightest version of its two-door sports car. It boasts a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine from AMG, producing 414 hp and 368 ft lbs of torque. This allows the car to zoom from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 186 mph. There’s also an optional Lightweight Handling package that can reduce the car's weight by over 55 pounds, featuring aerodynamic upgrades like a front splitter and a louvred lift gate. Plus, it’s the first Emira to have a removable tinted glass roof, similar to the Esprit. Deliveries are expected to begin in August, with a starting price of $122,900 in the U.S.
