LOST Festival Debuts at World's Largest Labyrinth in Parma
The first edition of LOST (Labyrinth Original Sound Track) festival took place on June 7 and 8, 2019, at the Labirinto della Masone in Fontanellato, Parma. The labyrinth, designed by Franco Maria Ricci, is the largest in the world. The two-day event featured music and performances that integrated with the maze's architecture. On June 7, the Italian duo Ozmotic opened with a soundscape of micro and macro relationships, followed by Dasha Rush's audiovisual performance 'Antartic Takt' with video artist Stanislav Glazov, then the collective Spime.im with their acidic sound invasions, and finally Cabaret Voltaire represented by Richard H. Kirk. On June 8, Maria w Horn started with atmospheres from her latest work 'Kontrapoetik', followed by Tim Hecker & Konoyo Ensemble performing from the album 'Anoyo'. Ben Frost then presented 'Widening Gyre', using a multi-speaker setup that enveloped the audience. The festival closed with the energetic techno of Giant Swan, turning the crowd into a dancing frenzy. The event was covered by Domenico Russo for Artribune.
