Lost Art Press Announces Pocketbook 'Smalls' with 18 Woodworking Projects
Lost Art Press is publishing a new pocketbook titled 'Smalls: 18 Well-designed, Easy Projects for an Afternoon in the Workshop,' currently being copy edited by Kara Gebhart Uhl. The book features 18 projects designed to use small wood scraps, with each project including step-by-step instructions, cutlists, plans, elevations, and details. It also covers technique basics like cutting rabbets, dados, grooves, using cut nails, and fairing curves. A preview project is a simple hanging bookcase in cherry, made from four pieces of wood, four dados, and eight nails, using 3/4-inch-thick stock and 50mm Rivierre nails. The finish is soft wax. The book will be available in the store approximately six weeks after final edits are uploaded to the printer.
