Los Cabbalos designs expressive social media identity for Public Records

architecture-design · 2026-07-27

Los Cabbalos, a design studio located in Buenos Aires, has developed a fresh visual identity for Public Records, a cultural venue and music space situated in Brooklyn, New York. This new system encompasses templates, layouts, and motion as well as typographic elements for posters, schedules, line-ups, and editorial pieces. Departing from typical nightlife branding, it emphasizes themes such as movement, ritual, spirituality, and the notions of balance and imbalance. Utilizing WiseType's Garamono typeface, the design incorporates illustrations reminiscent of block printing. Director Nico Di Filippo mentioned that Kabbalah and universal laws influenced their work. Previously, the studio had also designed Public Records' website. The identity is designed to be modular, enabling the venue's team to creatively adapt illustrations within the framework.
