Loris Cecchini's First Major French Exhibition at Château des Adhémar

exhibition · 2026-04-23

The Château des Adhémar in France hosted Loris Cecchini's first major solo exhibition in the country from October 10 to November 22, 2009. The Milanese artist (born 1969) presented a wide range of works including photographs with scale changes, rubber and polyurethane sculptures, and light in situ installations. Key series featured were Empty Walls, Just Doors—soft gray objects resembling broken computer hardware that adapt to architecture—and Gaps, elements like books, radiators, and windows appearing to emerge from white walls. Cecchini also employed morphing software to create structures exploring human-environment dialogue, such as transparent caravans and perched shelters in trees (Morphic Resonances). A suspended wave of transparent spheres (Morphing Wave) evoked a famous cloud pierced by ladders. His botanical interest informed 3D drawings of organic growth, while Rainbow Trusses and Monologue Drawings (thermoformed objects, laser engravings, collages behind Plexiglas) suggested fluid, fleeting possible worlds. The exhibition was curated by Patrick Amine and described as a journey through a poetic universe blurring reality and artifice.
