Loretta Amadori launches Fondazione LAM for contemporary art in Cesena

Loretta Amadori, daughter of a prominent agri-food entrepreneur from Cesena, has founded Fondazione LAM per le Arti Contemporanee, a non-profit opening in Cesena. The foundation aims to foster contemporary arts, support new artistic production, and focus on younger generations. It will not be an exhibition space but a study and residency house for artists, thinkers, and curators, emphasizing public art, artist residencies, and a public program of workshops, lectures, and debates. Alberto Masacci, a renowned philanthropy and fundraising expert, serves as general director. The foundation has partnered with Cinemovel Foundation and RAI Cinema to produce the documentary "Allacciate le cinture," directed by Tommaso Merighi, a behind-the-scenes look at the Silver Lion-winning film "Io Capitano" by Matteo Garrone. The documentary will be available on RaiPlay from March 19 and will precede the film's prime-time broadcast on Rai Uno on March 26. Future plans include a series of contemporary art meetings at the Biblioteca Malatestiana in Cesena in October and the first public art project in Cesena in autumn. Masacci emphasizes working locally in Cesena while also engaging nationally, citing immigration as a key theme. He advocates for a European humanistic model of patronage and stresses the need for private social investment in culture and education.
