Lorenzo Marini's TypeArt Exhibition at MyOwnGallery Milan

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Lorenzo Marini (born 1958, Monselice) presents 'Private Collection Vol. 1' at MyOwnGallery | Superstudio Più in via Tortona 27, Milan. The exhibition, curated by Sabino Maria Frassà and produced by Cramum with Verga 1947 and Borghesi Associati, features works from 2012 to the present, many previously unexhibited. Marini, founder of the TypeArt movement, explores letters as autonomous visual symbols, liberating them from semantic constraints. The show traces a trajectory from joyful early alphabets to recent 'Buchi Neri' (Black Holes), where words become pure aesthetic forms. Marini, who works between Milan, Los Angeles, and New York, has a background in advertising. He previously exhibited at the Armenian Pavilion of the 57th Venice Biennale (2017) and won the 2021 AVI prize for most visited contemporary art show at Santa Maria della Scala, Siena. The exhibition runs at MyOwnGallery, part of Superstudio Più, a known design hub.
