Lorenzo Giusti appointed director of GAMeC Bergamo

Lorenzo Giusti, who was born in 1977 in Prato, has been named the new director of the Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bergamo (GAMeC) for the term spanning 2018 to 2020, taking over from Giacinto Di Pietrantonio. This news was reported by Corriere di Bergamo, which emphasized Giusti's suitability for GAMeC’s forthcoming move to the PalaNorda sports hall. Since 2012, Giusti has led the Museo d’Arte della Provincia di Nuoro (MAN), where he elevated its status through international exhibitions and community initiatives. The selection committee, which included Gabriella Belli, Iwona Blazwick, and Cristian Valsecchi, acknowledged his expertise. Giusti has a specialization in art history and a PhD in art criticism. An official introduction is scheduled for July 5.
