Lorenzo Fiaschi Curates Beyond Emerging Artists at Abu Dhabi Art 2024

Lorenzo Fiaschi, co-founder of Galleria Continua and curator of the Beyond Emerging Artists program at Abu Dhabi Art, outlines the selection criteria for this year's participants. The program, running from November 20 to 24, features three artists: Fatma Al Ali, Dina Nazmi Khorchid, and Simrin Mehra Agarwal. Fiaschi emphasizes that Galleria Continua has prioritized ambition, humanism, and uniqueness for 35 years, seeking artists who forge distinct paths and address contemporary issues. Al Ali employs mixed media with a sharp, humorous approach, while Agarwal explores scale and space in her research. Khorchid creates landscapes blending photography, fabric, and charcoal drawings, with all three artists expected to produce immersive environments.
