Lorenza Longhi Wins Covivio Prize, Creates First Mural in Milan

award · 2026-04-27

Lorenza Longhi, born in 1991 in Lecco and now living in Zurich, has won the second Premio Covivio, which celebrates rising artists from miart galleries. The prize involves creating a permanent artwork for a Covivio building. Her first mural, called Days, was revealed on July 5, 2023, at the Wellio Duomo office complex that opened in 2022. The event included a talk with Francesco Barbieri, Andrea Staid, and Jacopo Veneziani. Longhi, represented by Fanta-MLN gallery in Milan, previously featured in the 2020/21 Quadriennale. She blends screen printing, painting, and installation, using a unique technique that gives her work a spontaneous touch. In June 2023, she launched a solo show, Sentimental Pop, at Weiss Falk in Basel, with a new project scheduled for January 2024.
