Lorenza Boisi's 'Lord of the Flies' Inspired Exhibition at Galleria Ribot

Lorenza Boisi (born 1972 in Milan) presents a solo exhibition at Galleria Ribot in Milan, drawing inspiration from William Golding's novel 'Lord of the Flies'. The show explores adolescence as a contradictory transition between existential haze and the taming of the inner beast. The installation is divided into two gallery spaces: the first features pastel-toned works depicting a joyful harmony between man and nature, including 'Urban Ritual' (2016), an installation of ceramic shoes tied together with multicolored laces in the shofiti tradition. The second, more intimate space evokes the smell of cigarette ash and leftover wine, with bruised fruits on the floor, where the beast manifests, disturbing the vision. The exhibition was curated by Elisa Fusi (born 1990 in Meda), a freelance curator and journalist who graduated from Brera Academy of Fine Arts with a thesis on contemporary art and entrepreneurship.
