Counterterrorism officers from the Metropolitan Police are investigating potential Iranian connections to a series of arson attacks targeting Jewish sites in London. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Vicki Evans stated that a group named Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia has claimed responsibility for the fires online, with public reports suggesting possible links to Iran. The latest incident occurred on Saturday night, causing minor damage to a synagogue in north London. No injuries have been reported from any of the blazes. Evans noted that authorities are examining whether Iran's known tactic of using criminal proxies is being employed in the UK capital. The country's chief rabbi has characterized these events as part of a broader campaign of violence and intimidation facing British Jews. The investigation was publicly announced on Sunday.
