London Sculpture Week 2025 transforms city into open-air gallery with major public art initiatives

London Sculpture Week will take place from September 20 to 28, 2025, marking its fourth iteration and showcasing five significant public art projects. Notable features include Rasheed Araeen's Untitled The Line in Bromley-by-Bow, Teresa Margolles' Mil Veces Un Instante on Trafalgar Square's Fourth Plinth, and the 13th edition of Frieze Sculpture in Regent's Park, curated by Fatoş Üstek. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, The Line will display 23 installations from artists such as Antony Gormley and Yinka Ilori. Additionally, East Bank will present works by Michael Landy, Lubna Chowdhary, and A.A. Murakami, while Ai Weiwei's pieces will be featured in Sculpture in the City. The festival will also host artist-led tours, youth programs, and a symposium at the Warburg Institute, highlighting the importance of public art in fostering community engagement.
