London's October 2025 Art Season Features Major Solo Shows, Historical Dialogues, and New Gallery Launches
From October 8, 2025, to March 1, 2026, Whitechapel Gallery will showcase Candice Lin's immersive installation 'g/hosti,' which features painted cardboard panels that address political and environmental issues. Meanwhile, Tate Modern is presenting Emily Kam Kngwarray's inaugural solo exhibition in Europe, running until January 11, 2026, displaying approximately 80 works in partnership with the National Gallery of Australia. Cai Guo-Qiang's exhibition 'Gunpowder and Abstraction 2015–2025' will be on view at White Cube Bermondsey from September 26 to November 9, 2025, featuring more than thirty artworks. Additionally, the Barbican Centre's 'Encounters' series will exhibit installations by Mona Hatoum alongside sculptures by Alberto Giacometti through January 11, 2026. YDP will debut Duan Jianyu's 'Yúqiáo' from October 14 to December 21, 2025, while the Royal Academy of Arts will explore South Asian art through Mrinalini Mukherjee from October 31, 2025, to February 24, 2026.
