London's Hotel Renaissance: 12 Spectacular New Openings

Between September 2023 and March 2026, London has seen six major luxury hotel openings, more starchitect-designed properties than in the previous half century. The Chancery Rosewood, a conversion of Eero Saarinen's 1960 U.S. Embassy by David Chipperfield Architects, opened in September 2025 with 144 suites, a 700-piece art collection, and interiors by Joseph Dirand and Yabu Pushelberg. Six Senses London at The Whiteley, a former department store in Bayswater, features 109 rooms, a 65-foot magnesium pool, and a private members' club. The Emory, Richard Rogers's final project, is a 61-suite tower in Knightsbridge with interiors by Champalimaud, André Fu, Pierre-Yves Rochon, and Patricia Urquiola. Other notable openings include The Peninsula London in Belgravia, Raffles London at The OWO in Whitehall, and The Londoner in Fitzrovia. The wave of new hotels has also spurred renovations at heritage properties like Claridge's and The Connaught.
