London Police Seize $10M in Supercars, Including Rare Ferrari Monza SP2

During the weekend of August 7-9, the Metropolitan Police in London confiscated 90 vehicles worth more than $10 million in a significant effort to combat dangerous and anti-social driving. This initiative focused on wealthy areas such as Kensington, Chelsea, and Hyde Park. Among the cars taken were a Lamborghini Revuelto, a Bentley Continental, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, along with various Porsche and Mercedes-Benz models. The highlight of the operation was a Ferrari Monza SP2, valued at $4.995 million, which had been in the UK for less than a day and was driven by someone with only a provisional license, stopped within half an hour of driving. This operation, supported by the Motor Insurers' Bureau, marks the most successful crackdown in five years, following a policy change that empowers officers to seize vehicles rather than just issue warnings. Special Chief Inspector Geoff Tatman emphasized that these actions convey a strong message against reckless driving.
