London Gatwick Airport uses Insta360 X4 camera to document luggage journey from check-in to plane hold
At London Gatwick Airport, a suitcase was equipped with an Insta360 X4 camera to capture its journey through the baggage handling process. The video, titled 'POV: you're a bag at London Gatwick,' shows the bag being checked in by a British Airways staff member, traveling along conveyor belts, going through X-ray scans, and eventually getting loaded onto an airplane. The footage follows its adventure through the terminal's lower levels, its time on a carousel, and interactions with baggage handlers. After moving to an airport vehicle, the camera is reattached for the final moments on the tarmac, showing the suitcase being placed in the aircraft hold. Gatwick shared this on Instagram, highlighting what happens to baggage after check-in. The Insta360 X4 features impressive video quality and capabilities. Interestingly, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport did something similar back in 2015.
