London exhibition for dogs by Dominic Wilcox

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Artist and designer Dominic Wilcox curated an art exhibition specifically for dogs, commissioned by insurance company More Th>n as part of the PlayMore campaign. The show features works at dog height, interactive installations shaped like kibble bowls, car windows with simulated wind, and videos of flying frisbees. It includes paintings and drawings using colors visible to the canine spectrum. Participating artists include Nick White, Clare Mallison, Joanne Hummel-Newell, Robert Nicol, and Michelle Thompson. They collaborated with veterinarians and educators to best stimulate four-legged visitors. Wilcox stated he takes playfulness seriously and noted that contemporary art has never before aimed to recreate emotions in animals. The exhibition also subtly critiques the theme-park tendency in recent contemporary art.
