London Design Fair 2016 opens at Old Truman Brewery

The London Design Fair 2016, formerly known as Tent and Super Brands, opened at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane from September 22 to 25. The fair hosts over 250 independent designers and brands, 200 international brands, and 15 national pavilions across three levels of the former brewery. Highlights include the 100% Norway pavilion curated by Max Fraser featuring 15 Norwegian designers, new talents from Finland's Maiju Uski, Japan's Native & Co, Denmark's Camilla Aggestrup, Italy's Portego, and students from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. The third level features Trentino Collaborations with works by English designers Max Lamb, Sebastian Cox, Lucy Kurrein, and Giles Miller, and the debut of This is India showcasing wood, ceramic, textile, and furniture objects. Separately, the British Land Celebration of Design award at Exchange Square honored David Adjaye with the Panerai London Design Medal, Sir Kenneth Grange, Daan Roosegaarde, and Bethan Laura Wood.
