London Art Fairs Guide: Frieze, PAD, 1-54 and More in October 2024

London's October art fair week is anchored by Frieze London and Frieze Masters, both at Regent's Park from October 9–13, 2024. Frieze London features over 160 exhibitors from 43 countries and a new layout by A Studio Between, highlighting curated sections like Artist-to-Artist and Smoke. Frieze Masters, with 130 galleries from 26 countries, debuts an artist-focused approach with an expanded Studio section and a layout by Annabelle Selldorf, guided by Nathan Clements-Gillespie and Creative Advisor Sheena Wagstaff. Frieze Sculpture, curated by Fatoş Üstek for the second year, runs from September 18 to October 27 in the English Garden, featuring 22 international artists. The Other Art Fair London takes place October 10–13 at Truman Brewery, presented by Saatchi Art, with over 200 artists, installations, performances, and workshops by the East London Strippers Collective. PAD London, the UK's only fair dedicated to 20th-century and contemporary design, runs October 8–13 at Berkeley Square, founded by Patrick Perrin. StART has moved to King's Cross (KX) for October 7–13, founded by David and Serenella Ciclitira. The 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, the only international fair focused on African contemporary art and its diaspora, holds its 12th edition October 11–13 at Somerset House with over 60 exhibitors and 160 artists. Major exhibitions during the week include shows on Francis Bacon, Lygia Clark, Sonia Boyce, Van Gogh, and Hew Locke.
